Franklin Tennessee is part of the Williamson County school district and the Franklin School District. Williamson is a K – 12 school district with approximately 38,000 students. There are a total of 44 schools within the district, 10 high schools, nine middle schools, 24 elementary schools and one K – 8 school. There are 8 schools in the Franklin School District with about 3,700 enrolled students.

The Franklin Special School District is located 14 miles south of Nashville in the heart of Franklin. The school district provides student individuality and introduces innovative and exciting new programs into the curriculum each year. It’s a place that deliberates a focus on personalized instruction tailored to meet each student’s individual needs. There are special academic programs including the Honors program for gifted and talented students and the district is also committed to early childhood education and has prekindergarten classes in all of the elementary schools.
