Have a plan for the 4th yet? Well if you live in Franklin Tennessee you do now! Our annual Franklin on the Fourth is something to see for sure! The festivities begin at 10 AM on the 4th all over town! There is bluegrass music food vendors, wood-working, and other handmade items.
The downtown square will be the spot for all food and craft booths. Antique cars will line Main Street between the square and 4th Ave. On 3rd Ave, the kid zone will be in full effect! Kids and people of all ages can enjoy a petting zoo, inflatables, and pony rides not to mention the Children’s’ parade beginning at 5 PM. Anyone can join in the parade too! Just be there at the line up at 4:45 PM. There are prizes for the best costume, decorated bike, and wagon!
Food, Food, and More Food! Can you tell I love this part of the event? Try the roasted corn on the cob and ridiculously tender brisket from the BBQ truck. Maybe a big pile of nachos or delicious ice cream! Seriously, my mouth is watering just thinking of all that great food.
If music is your thing, you’ll love the variety of Bluegrass, Country, Soul, and Pop all day long on the main stage with, of course, a rendition of the National Anthem performed by our regional Daughters of the American Revolution.
But we haven’t even begun to talk about the fireworks! Franklin on the Fourth ends at 8 PM to give everyone a chance to make it to the Firework Display at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm. The City puts on quite a show beginning at 9 PM.
Come for the day, stay for the fireworks and enjoy a fabulous event! Happy 4th of July everyone! We’ll see you there!
